MEET THE STAFF Our incredible staff includes 12 of the most talented people under one circus tent!
J.T. “Bubba” Sikes A dynamic clown, author, instructor and motivational speaker, J.T. Sikes is recognized as one of the premier Ministry Clowns in the country. He has the extraordinary knack of communicating with you the moment you first meet. His character, “Bubba,” is a wonderful, creative and charismatic clown, that delights and amuses audiences with his very positive style of clowning. This warm and whimsy character will get into your heart and make you laugh every time you think of him.
PRINCE PUPPETS For more than two decades Jill Harrington and the Prince Puppets has touched thousands of children with the love of Jesus. As a multi-faceted performance team, Prince Puppets shares gospel truths through Kids Crusades, VBS, and church programs. Jill is also the director of “Metro Children’s Outreach,” a special weekly Sidewalk Sunday School program for Pittsburgh’s inner-city children.
PUPPETS FOR THE KING This delightful family ministry reaches children from 1 to 101. Lou and Kris Rhoades share with a variety of musical styles, object lessons and of course their unique “live audience interaction” to teach the Gospel through puppetry. Kris is also the president of “*The Well Ministries” and is editor of “The Well,”* a monthly publication of encouraging and inspirational stories and poems.
PEACHEY KEENE Steve “Peachey Keene” Long has a unique style of teaching that conveys a message that all aspects of clowning are important. He’s a BIG guy (5'18") with an equally big heart. His company *Peachey Keene Props* is a unique business that Steve created to provide entertainers with the best foam props available. Some notable customers include Warner Bros. (Batman Forever), Universal Studios (Patch, starring Robin Williams) and many circuses.
DEB MARTIN/MARK MILLER This dynamic duo combine a wide scope of ministry skills. Deb Martin is a fantastic face-painter, super storyteller, and lovable clown “Spitunia.” Mark Miller is a great Gospel illusionist and wondrous storyteller. Their company “Perfect Occasions” has a wide variety of supplies for face-painting, clowning and magic.
MIKE THE BALLOON GUY Michael “The Balloon Guy” Evans started twisting balloons when he was 9 or 10. At about that time he became very interested in magic (which he has done off and on all his life). At the end of each show he would produce some balloons out of a flash of fire and say to the kids “Who wants balloons?” They would all scream me!...and so he would start the final phase of his act by making balloon creations for everyone present. His balloon art defies the laws of balloons! Mike is owner of “Mike the Balloon Guy and Co. Entertainment Artists.”
DIANA VAROSKY Diana became interested in ventriloquism when she saw Mark Wade at a clown convention and the Lord laid it upon her heart that this would be a great way to minister. Her main puppet is “Zac” the dinosaur. Diana was a “quick learner” when it came to the art of venting. She has earned the position of Ventriloquist in Training Program Secretary with the “International Festival of Christian Puppetry and Ventriloquism” hosted by “One Way Street, Inc.”
SUNSHINE & CO. As a leading clown costume designer Kitty Kuhr will outfit you from head to toe! Quality and affordability are her forté. Tom Kuhr is not only a fun guy but....he’s the “foam-fetti” guy! Whether you need a brown “E” or a black “I” Tom will be glad to fix you up!
MARY ANN FERRY As a talented puppet creator; Mary Ann brings with her 20 years of puppetry experience!
AND........SUSAN MEENEGHAN, your FAM co-host Susan has been writing, performing and directing creative ministries for over 16 years. She has also ministered on staff as Children's Director for several Pittsburgh area churches. She serves as local host for the One Way Street Puppet Festival.
